Temporary Roof Anchor Systems
The use of a temporary roof safety anchor points are limited but it is considered as an effective solution which can be easily installed and removed after the work has been done. The best part is, it does not scratch or damage the structure after removal (and you’re not left with holes in the roof sheeting – like some other products do). When there are no fixed anchor points, temporary anchor points provide high-end security. We developed our anchor points for several scenarios. Our designs are compatible with metal roof sheeting, Custom Orb, Trimdeck, and Spandeck. It can be used on Concrete walls or roofs for the use of Free Fall Arrest Single Point Anchorage. How to ensure that the temporary anchor point is used safely
Follow our five simple steps below to ensure work is done safely:
1.Proper assessment of the worksite: First, inspect the site and check for potential hazards. Consider safety control measures to prevent hazards.
2.Selection of temporary anchor point: Select the anchor according to the job site and work type. You must know which type of anchor is used for metal, concrete roof, tile installation etc.
3.Inspect the roof structure: For instance, if the worksite is on the metal roof, you must know its profile. The assessment of the roof structure is required for the selection of the right anchor point.
4.System designing: After assessing the roof structure and anchor point, you are advised to create the design of the system. While working with temporary anchor points, you should avoid a fall arrest system and rather work in fall restraint. The workers must have the proper training. You must include the rescue system but should not rely on it completely. Thus work in fall restraint is compulsory.
5.Right execution of the plan: Craft a plan and include all your roof workers in the process. They must know about the system to ensure the correct use of safety equipment to prevent accidents. They must know their role to ensure less risk at the worksite. And there should be a supervisor who checks that everyone is working according to the plan designed for the project.
