Working at Height Safety Checklist


  • Don’t put yourself or your workers at risk, with other non compliant products
  • Roof anchor products should be tested by an independent testing body, NATA accredited for testing roof anchor points to AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 – ( current standard of compliance to refer to 2020 )
  • If something looks unsafe, don’t risk your safety
  • Ensure roof anchor products come with compliance TEST report signed by an engineer that show they actually comply to AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 15Kn ( approximately 1.5 tonnes of load – in direction of a fall )
  • Avoid products that don’t align to roof screw pattens and profiles – that leave you with additional holes in roof sheeting
  • Avoid roof anchors that are not surface mounted to tops of roof sheet ribs, because they can create leaks
  • Avoid products that don’t come with specified fastenings and don’t come with user guides or installation instructions
  • Remember Stainless steel is NOT compatible with direct contact to Colourbond roof sheeting
